Bold yet retaining a great deal of elegance, the OnTheGo MM has become one of the House of Louis Vuitton’s most recognizable contemporary silhouettes. This version in black Monogram Empreinte leather stands out with its striking contrasting Monogram Giant motif, which transforms the House’s historic LV and Monogram flower signatures into bold graphic elements.

Introduced by Louis Vuitton in 2010, the Monogram Empreinte line adapts the House’s famous Monogram to supple, grained calfskin. On the OnTheGo, this technique takes on a more contemporary dimension thanks to the Monogram Giant, whose oversized proportions give the tote a particularly striking presence. The contrast between the deep black leather and the light-colored motifs further accentuates the bag’s architecture.

The OnTheGo draws direct inspiration from Louis Vuitton’s large totes and travel bags, but its design is intended for everyday use. The MM size offers a generous interior while remaining easier to carry than the GM version. Its two top handles allow it to be carried by hand or in the crook of the arm, while its long interior straps make it comfortable to wear over the shoulder. Its structured base and clean lines allow it to retain a sophisticated silhouette even when full.
