LOUIS VUITTON – Mini Dauphine Monogram & Monogram Reverse
LOUIS VUITTON – Mini Dauphine Monogram & Monogram Reverse
Circa: 2019
Unveiled by Nicolas Ghesquière for the Spring-Summer 2019 collection, the Mini Dauphine has become one of the contemporary signatures of the House of Louis Vuitton. This version combines two of the House's most recognizable canvases, the classic Monogram and the Monogram Reverse, in a graphic construction highlighted by cognac-colored natural leather and gold-tone hardware.
The Dauphine draws its identity from Louis Vuitton's archives while reinterpreting them with a resolutely modern aesthetic. The contrast between the two Monogram canvases creates a distinctive visual effect: the top flap features the traditional Monogram on a dark brown background, while the lower part reveals the Monogram Reverse, with lighter tones. The whole is framed by cowhide leather that structures the silhouette and highlights its geometric lines.
In the center, the spectacular gold LV clasp acts as a true design element. Despite its Mini format, the interior is cleverly organized into two compartments with a flat back pocket, while the removable and adjustable leather shoulder strap allows for a short shoulder carry or a longer crossbody carry. Louis Vuitton designed this format to easily transition from daytime use to an evening look.

Introduced in 2019 and still offered by Louis Vuitton today, the model has established itself as one of the strong modern silhouettes in the leather goods collection.
